Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how the DailyToolBox app (“App”) collects, uses, and shares information. We request certain device permissions only to provide the features you use (such as PDF tools, scanning, QR, and file creation). We do not require you to create an account, and we do not collect directly identifiable personal information like your name, phone number, or email address inside the app.
1. Permissions We Request and Why
A. Camera and Flashlight (CAMERA, FLASHLIGHT)
Purpose: To scan QR/barcodes and to provide document scanning features (Document Scanner), and to optionally use the flashlight.
Processing: Camera frames can be processed on-device using Google ML Kit. Images are not sent to our servers unless you explicitly share/export files using other apps.
B. Microphone (RECORD_AUDIO)
Purpose: For sound-related tools (e.g., decibel meter) or audio features that require microphone input.
Processing: Audio input is processed in real time for measurement. We do not upload audio data to our servers. If you actively record and save audio (if available), it is stored locally on your device.
C. Storage / Files (READ_EXTERNAL_STORAGE, WRITE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE)
Purpose: To let you pick files (PDF/Word/Excel/images), create new documents (e.g., image-to-PDF), and save results to your device.
Scope: The App accesses files you select or generate. It does not silently scan unrelated files. You remain in control via system file pickers and share dialogs where available.
D. Internet / Network State (INTERNET, ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE)
Purpose: To show ads (Google AdMob), check network availability, and (if enabled) download any online content required by features.
E. Vibration (VIBRATE)
Purpose: To provide haptic feedback (e.g., successful scan, action confirmation) and to support notification vibration. This permission does not provide access to personal data.
F. Battery Information (no special permission required in most cases)
Purpose: If the App includes battery-related tools, it may read battery level/status using standard Android APIs. We do not collect or upload battery usage statistics from your device.
2. Third-Party Services
Google AdMob (Ads)
The App uses Google AdMob to display ads. Google may process the Advertising ID (AAID), device model, OS version, approximate location derived from IP address, and other technical signals for ad delivery, measurement, frequency capping, fraud/abuse prevention, and legal compliance. This processing is governed by Google’s own privacy policies and controls.
Google ML Kit (On-device scanning)
The App uses Google ML Kit for barcode/QR scanning and document scanning features. Processing generally occurs on the device. We do not send your camera images to our servers.
3. Data Security
We use reasonable safeguards to protect data stored locally by the App. However, no method of electronic storage or transmission is 100% secure. We recommend keeping your device protected with a screen lock and OS updates.
4. Children’s Privacy
The App is not designed for children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal data, contact us and we will take appropriate steps.
5. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The latest version will be published on this page and becomes effective immediately upon posting.
